If you are serious about your guitar playing, and you don’t already own one of these, do yourself a favour and invest about R1000 rand. It’s basically a personal guitar effects unit, but it does much more. You can use it for the following:

• Drum, Metronome and Bass machine, with programmable patterns and key changes.
• recording and training (including pitch and time shifting)
• tuning

The sound quality is not the best for recording – actually it’s pretty bad, but for practice, this unit is amazing.

I thought I would put up a pick of the last guitar that I acquired at the end of last year. I’ve been looking for a plain travelling guitar for a while and this guitar, eventhough it’s 15/16 the size of a real dreadnought, sounds and plays like a dream.
